Every now and then a property comes on the market and throws the mid-century fanatics into a flutter (myself included)!
This home is one such property and is an amazing opportunity for a lover of all things MCM to buy in a prized location – Bellaire Court, Beaumaris.
Bellaire Court is an amazing location and is definitely worth a look if you happen upon the location. I personally divert our family dog walk there whenever I can!
The ‘court’ is actually a circular street that returns on itself. There is another such court in Beaumaris, Gray Court, which features a bushland reserve in its centre. I am pretty sure this also once existed in Bellaire Court, however there is now a collection of 1980s looking houses to the centre.
But it is the outer row of houses that really capture the imagination in this amazing street. A magnificent collection of mid-century homes that have been retained in original condition (possibly by the original owners) or have been lovingly renovated and restored.
No. 12 is no exception! Just look at that amazing entry feature with its inside-outside planter bed and stunning mosaic tiles!
(PS. Readers of the Grass-trees blog will notice the Monstera due to its holes….)
Wonderful light filled living rooms, captivating wallpaper and views to the garden galore!
Nothing to be done to the kitchen!
Nothing to be done to the bathroom!
And what Australian mid-century home could be without the trusty lemon tree! Plenty of potential in the garden to complement what is a stunning home!
