Not to state the obvious but this week has been HOT. (Actually that is stating the obvious)
The south eastern states of Australia have really copped it this week and here in Melbourne we have enjoyed 4 days straight of 40+ degrees celsius and nights of not a lot cooler than that!
So where else to draw inspiration for the MCM property of the week, but from this oppressive HEAT.
You can’t escape it, so how about sitting back with a cold drink and the fan cooling you in the living room of this great little beach house in Mount Martha?!
Great views are to be had from the living room and verandah as the property drops away towards the street!
You can just about feel the slight flick of the fan, can’t you?
The rooms aren’t big, but they can be made functional for your family weekender on the peninsula (or your permanent home away from the crazy inner-city).
Why sleep when you can be dazzled by the bright yellow bedroom walls!
As with most beach houses there is plenty to be done in the garden, but that is where the fun begins!
Some great native Paperbark & Tea tree and a sloping lawn perfect for your ride on mower!
The Mornington Peninsula is a pretty sweet spot and it would be great to see this little beach house live a long, long life with a family who loves it.
